     Here is an app that is great for people who love reading. This app is called Wattpad. This app was created in 2006 in the month of November by Allen Lau and Ivan Yuen. This app is currently being used by over 45 million people. In this app people from all over the world can write stories, poems, articles, fan fiction, and many other types of written things.

     This app is great for people who love to read stories or write stories. You can look up all types of stories on here to read, there are many different categories of stories to read from such as horror, romance, comedy, sad, shocking, mystery, drama, crime and a lot more. Or if you don't want to read a story there are many other things such as articles, poems and much more. If you're not the type to read stories but love to write stories, then this is also the perfect app to get. You can write any type of story possible. Also people from all over the world can read your story. This app is great if you're a person who is trying to get seen by others for your work.

      This app is also very simple to use, if you're planning to read stories off of this app all you do is search the title of the book if you want a specific book. But if you wanted to read a horror book but you're not sure which one you can just search up the word horror and millions of types of books and stories about horror will come up. Then you can either read the whole book in one shot or put the book in your private library where no one can see that you are reading it or you can put it in your public library where if others were to go on your profile they could see that you're reading that book. But if you're more of the type to read stories all you have to do is at the bottom of the screen on the homepage there is a pencil and then from there you write away, just add a title to the book and a cover so people can have a hint of what the book is like and then write away. This is a very simple app to use and people of all ages can use it, it's also free and works for most devices. So if you love reading and writing Wattpad is the perfect app for you.

What’s an Apple watch? How do you connect it to your phone? Can you really connect your phone to a watch? An Apple watch is basically a smaller version of your iPhone and it works as your iPhone. You can connect if you just follow these steps:

1. 1. If  your iPhone is updated to the latest update you should have an app on your phone with an icon of a watch sideways and the name of the app should be called “Watch.” Next open your Apple watch by holding down the flat button which is the button you use to turn it on. You hold that button until the Apple logo appear.

2. Next you could pick a wrist to place the watch on and you can simply set it up to your liking.

3. After you have done that you go onto your iPhone and click the app called “Watch”

4. After you do that you should see a white alert notification appear that says “Turn your bluetooth on.” After seeing that, you should slide up towards the bottom of the phone and the Control Center should pop up.

5. When the Control Center appears on the screen you should already be connected to wifi and press the bluetooth icon as shown in the previous picture.

6. After you’ve turned on your bluetooth, slide the Control Center downward and the Watch app should still be running and be on the phone screen. Also when you turn on your watch it will show the countries you can pick from and language.

7. Your camera will appear and you’ll have to turn on your Apple watch and on your phone the camera will pop up and at the top of the screen of the camera in writing it will say “Hold Apple Watch up to the Camera Align it with the viewfinder below.” You then fit your camera in the boxed shape perimeter on the camera.

8. From there it will ask you to set up as a new Apple Watch then ask you to set up a password for your watch and etc. From there-your Apple Watch is officially connected to your iPhone.

How To Start

• Go to an item in your phone that you would like to save onto your phone. It can be a wallpaper from Google, a celebrity picture off of Instagram, anything. Just choose want you want to get screenshot.
• After you have chosen, you will have to locate your lock screen and your home button which are the buttons that are shown above.

• Congratulations! You have found your buttons and one step away from screenshotting your image/text. Once you have located everything you will now stay on the page where your item is and simply press your home button and lock button together.

ITunes U is an app where you can bring your whole classroom together with many features such as an integrated grade book, private discussions and homework hand in. This app was created on May 30th, 2007 by the company Apple. This app was created to help people have an easy way to access educational material from some of the top universities and colleges.

          One of the features in this app is called homework hand in where students can hand in their work through ITunes U. They can use a variety of apps to hands in the work through this app and once everything is handed in it is organized in the same place so you can keep track of the work and grade it also. Another feature is if your student is having trouble with an assignment you can privately discuss it with them and help them understand is better. Also with the integrated grade book you can track all grades and assignments for your students and enable grading for a specific assignment, also as you grade assignments you can view the overall progress of your students work.

         This app is available on all Apple products for free. With this app it will be easier for students and the teacher to read books, watch audio lectures, and individual or whole classroom discussions. In this app you can also add content from the IBooks and App Store as well as links to websites.

          To use this app is simple and all you have to do is when you get into this app just press get started and to created a course just press the plus sign then “create a course” then add a profile for yourself so students know who you are and from there the app will show you how to create the rest of the course. This app is very useful for teachers who want to organize their lessons and work with their students and can help a lot with organization.

Usability:  This app is very useful for in and out of the classroom. Quizlet allows both Apple and Android electronics to download the app for free via app store. Students using this app will be able to study for any subject with a variety of study options.

Support:  After you have downloaded Quizlet it is very easy to use and understand. Students will have fun learning while they are getting the help they need.

Engaging:  This app is very engaging. Students will be able to have fun and be able to study how they prefer and how they learn best. Students will find this app very helpful because they can put in the information they need to study and they can proceed to do that with the option of studying with flashcards, the “learn” option, the “test” option, “matching” option, and the game option.

Export/Sharing:  Artifacts, created with tool cannot be shared through Google, Dropbox, email, and/or YouTube.

Customization:   When using Quizlet you can customize based on how you prefer to study. When using the flashcards study tool option you can put all the information like you would on a notecard and begin your study session. Quizlet is all based on how you would like to learn.

Collaboration:  Quizlet does not allow you to collaborate with classmates through the cloud.

Import:  When using Quizlet you are not able to import files, images, videos, sound, etc. into the tool.

Overall, Quizlet is a great study tool. Quizlet can and should be used in and out of the classroom which will help students understand and learn much better.

Usability:  This app is very useful to students in multiple classes in all different areas. This app is easy to use and can be downloaded for free on any Apple device with iOS 7.0 or later. Students that use this app will get a notification on their device telling them what class, what assignment, the grade on the assignment, and it will also tell students their class average.

Support: As soon as you open up the app it is very easy to use and understand. This app provides very little to no help.

Engaging: This app is very engaging. Follett Notifications helps students and parents keep track of grades. This app can be used on a day to day basis. Students can find this app helpful because they can see every assignment that gets graded so they will not have to keep logging back into Aspen.

Export/Sharing: This category does not apply to the Follett Notifications app because you can not create documents and share them.

Customization: When using the app you can customize in settings. You can change who you get notifications from and when you want to be updated when the resources or ads feature is changed.

Collaboration: Follett Notifications does not allow you to collaborate through the app because it is your private information.

Import: Students, teachers, and/or parents are not able to import files, images, videos, sound, etc. into Follett Notifications.

Overall Follett Notifications is a great app that can be used anywhere. This app gives students an idea of their grades and can be used to help keep them organized.

This is the type of catfish that you won't find in the ocean

 

           Catfishing

Catfishing is one very popular thing to do on the internet. What is catfishing? Catfishing is saying you are someone on the internet that you aren't. People use catfishing for many reasons such as for scamming people, pretending to be a celebrity, or maybe they just aren't comfortable with themselves. Either way this idea of pretending to be someone you aren't is very popular on the internet these days, and sometimes it can be very dangerous.

    When people are catfishes they have fake profiles for whatever sites they are catfishing on, their name and picture are usually fake along with a lot of other information. They use these profiles to hide who they really are because they are insecure  and don't want people to know who they really are, or they want to scam/hack people, or they are just bored and want to mess around with people. There are usually more catfishes on dating sites than anywhere else, also every 1 out of 100 people on the internet are catfishes.

      Sometimes it is hard to figure out if the person is a catfish or not, but there are some things that you can look for to see if they are or not. First is look at the pictures on the profile, make sure the person in the photo is not someone famous that you can recognize. Also see how many photos they have, if they do not have more than 3 pictures this is a sign of the person being a catfish, and lastly see what the pictures look like, see if they are very HD and if they look professional, usually regular people will have normal looking pictures, ones that look like they are taken by themselves. Another sign to look for is what they post. If the profile is just a profile, very little or no posts they are probably a catfish. Lastly, if you are in an online relationship with someone and you want to know if they are a catfish or not, ask them to video chat with you, if they say no, or make excuses every time you ask they most likely are doing it because they don't want you to know that the person is a catfish.

       Being catfished can also be a very dangerous thing to happen to someone. Someone could be pretending to be someone they are not and you, thinking they are someone else such as a girlfriend or boyfriend, could tell them information that should not be shared with just anyone. It is very important to stay safe online and to not just tell anyone any information, because if you do it could lead to stalking, hacking or many other dangerous things. There have been many cases as to where people found someone they are interested in online so they decide to meet up with that person, then the person turns out to not be who they said. Then the person who was catfishing them can do some very dangerous things, like murder, sexual harassment and many other things.

      Catfishing can be done to anybody and is not just done to people who are dating, it can be done to friends or family. There are catfishes everywhere and that's why it is important to stay safe and make sure to know who you are really talking to online.
