An Inside Look at “EasyBib”

EasyBib is an online website that provides citations and note-taking research tools. It teaches students how to cite using the different formats of citations like MLA, APA, Chicago/Turabian. EasyBib is free for all to use, but like every other online tool website, it has the option to upgrade your account to a higher version than what is offered for free. With EasyBib Plus it scans students’ papers and checks/corrects citation mistakes and plagiarism.
When you first enter the website it brings you to the homepage where it offers two options of either creating citations or plagiarism scans for your papers. Let’s dig into the “citations” part of EasyBib. Once you’re on this page it gives you a variety of different sources to choose from depending on where you got the information that you want to cite. The website then gets cited in the format of your choosing. It makes it very simple yet effective for its users by doing the research in order for the correct information to be displayed in the citations.
The “Plagiarism check” on EasyBib can also come in handy for some students. It allows them to import their paper onto the website from the source that they originally typed it on. The only downside to this is the student must pay $9.95 each month in order to unlock this part of accessibility on EasyBib. It lets you have a 3-day trial at first so you can test it out. Other than that the only other free part of this website is that it can correct spelling errors and recommends what words or phrases to substitute them out with.
Overall, EasyBib is known to be one of the best citation tools to exist for students in school. As a matter of fact, did you know more citations were created on EasyBib in the first half of the year 2018 than there are people living in California? This comes to prove my point that it is a sensational tool used by many students that deserves all the recognition it gets due to its educational impact.
